How We Choose Products

Any site can paste a list of products. Here is what has to be true before something earns a place in a Christmas Kingdom guide.

What we look for

Priced for Irish budgets. Guides cover a spread of price bands so there is a genuine option whether you are filling a stocking or buying the big present.

Actually available in Ireland. We favour products you can genuinely get here, and in the run-up to Christmas we prioritise items that can arrive before the big day.

Well reviewed. We favour products with a strong review history, and we look at whether recent buyers are still happy.

Compared with alternatives. Products are chosen against other options in their category, not picked in isolation.

Affiliate and not

Some links earn us a small commission, some earn us nothing. The pick comes first and the link comes second; if the best option has no affiliate programme, we link it anyway. The detail is on our affiliate disclosure page.

What gets a product removed

Recommendations are not forever. A product comes out of a guide when its price spikes, its availability becomes unreliable, or its reviews start to slide.

Spot a problem?

If a recommendation has gone wrong, the price has jumped or the product has disappeared, tell us and we will put it right.
